Information Technology Specialist North American Recovery, Utah’s Premier Collection Agency, is expanding and we need to hire a computer expert to handle our Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), computer systems, software/hardware and telephone software/hardware systems support and administration. We are growing at a rapid rate and need to centralize all of our technology administration and support into one position. We have 44 full time employees and anticipate continued expansion in the near future. Our IT Specialist will be responsible for network administration support and repair, employee technical support, computer equipment support and repair, software support and repair, technology systems support and repair, and computer systems security. Our IT Specialist will provide technical assistance, support, and help to users in all areas of computer hardware and software. He or she will troubleshoot problems and provide support and solutions for hardware, software, and network systems-including computers, printers, fax machines, copy machines, telephones and their related systems and equipment. The IT Specialist will respond to inquiries from computer users and diagnose and resolve their problems. They also install, modify, clean, and repair computer hardware and software. In addition, they will help author computer training manuals and train computer users in how to use new computer hardware and software. Our IT Specialist will also oversee the daily performance of our computer systems and ensure top-level uninterrupted operation. Our IT Specialist will also respond to questions and e-mail messages from users looking for help with computer hardware or software problems. In responding to these inquiries, he or she will listen carefully, ask questions to diagnose the nature of the problem, and then patiently work with the employee during the problem-solving process. Our IT Specialist will help design, install, and support our organization’s computer systems. Including our local-area network (LAN), and Internet and intranet systems. He or She will maintain network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor our network to ensure uninterrupted up-time. He or she will also work with management to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures.
Position Requirements Skills: • Proficient working knowledge of computer hardware and software. • Strong organization and analytical skills. • Detail oriented. • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines. • The ability to work well with others. • Ability to provide training to individuals and a group. • Excellent writing skills. Education/experience • Associates’ Degree in computer science or a related field. OR 2-years of equivalent real-world experience in a computer support position. Excellent starting salary of $25,000-$35,000/yr (based on education and experience).
